How to remember the accounting score of currency exchanges under the same bank account?

There are two currencies, US dollars and Canadian dollars in our company's bank account. Today, the bank has done a pen business and replaced some of the US dollars into Canadian dollars. How should the currency exchange in the same account should make accounting?
